Dice Vault – Rectangular

Three examples of a rectangular dice vault or pen case, or… Two are made from padauk wood and one from spectraply – “May Flowers”. All have magnetic clasp enclosures. The first padauk version in the pictures below has more rounded corners and the lid fits snugly into the bottom part. The other two have lids that slide open to break the magnetic attachment. Padauk is a beautiful wood – both to work with and in the finished product. It is slightly brittle so one has to be careful with edges and very small details. The spectraply is interesting – this is my first time using it. At $33 per 2″x2″x12″ block it is a bit pricey but the resulting product can be spectacular.

I can custom make these boxes from many species of wood and can custom laser engrave to your specifications. Designed in VCarve Pro and rendered on an X-Carve CNC router. The leather lining and foam inserts are laser cut.
