Welcome to the 5th Line Design Studio!
About
5th Line Design Studio is a small home based business specializing in the production of high quality, custom products made from wood, acrylic and other machine-able materials. The designer and craftsman, Randy, has been making unique creations for over 45 years. (Click here for some of his formative and recent personal projects). Trained as an electrical engineer and having worked in the IT industry for over 35 years, he is interested in the intersection of art and technology. This interest has led to the use of computer controlled machines – laser cutter/engraver, CNC router and 3D printers in the production of art, craft items and useful products for the office, retail and home. As a Canadian military veteran, Randy is also familiar with designing unique items for other veterans and serving members.
We can work with you to realize your ideas for wedding, birthdays and Christmas items, laser cut parts for school projects or hobbies or items for your business – name tags, door signs, product signs, etc.
From 5th Line Design Studio you can expect each piece to be unique and of the highest quality, with exacting attention to detail.
Have a look at the project gallery to see the range of products, materials and techniques used in previous projects to get an idea of our capabilities. Perhaps you are inspired by something you see but want to make a change to make it more your own. Work with us to bring your idea to life.
